MAKING CHANGE WAS A TWO YEAR PROGRAM OF CONNECTION AND CAPACITY BUILDING LED BY REGIONAL ARTS VICTORIA ACROSS THE G21 REGION BETWEEN 2023 AND 2025
ABOUT MAKING CHANGE.
In 2021, an ambitious and important strategy was launched: the Making Change Creative Industries Strategy 2021-2026.
Reflecting progressive and resilient communities, the strategy’s vision was to foster a culture of collaboration, aspiration and change to ensure a sustainable future for all creatives and their audiences in the municipalities of Golden Plains, City of Greater Geelong, Surf Coast, Colac Otway and Queenscliffe Borough.
Commencing in 2023, Regional Arts Victoria was engaged to deliver the project in collaboration with a community and sector-led task force and Creatives Reference Group made up of key stakeholders and creative practitioners from the G21 region.
Funding for the project was provided by the Victorian State Government through Creative Victoria.
After two years of programming that facilitated connection, knowledge sharing and capability building, the Making Change project concluded in mid-2025.
Findings and achievements from the initiative will continue to be built upon through the work of Regional Arts Victoria and the connections made during the project.
